Cottage Bakery and Delicatessen in Long Beach

This is my favorite bakery I have ever been too!! Moon pies, cream puffs, chocolate covered with sprinkles, danish’s galore, maple bars with and without bacon, Sailor jacks, apple fritters, cakes, cookies, food, espresso! It has everything! Homemade to perfection! Thank you Cottage Bakery and Delicatessen for feeding my family through the years! All social distancing and mask wearers were grateful to partake in the delights they served.

Cottage Bakery is excellent. Great product. I love love love their Strawberry cream cheese pastries and their Apricot stars. Oooo and 4 stars for their poppy seed muffins

This bakery is the very best bakery that I have eaten at! The variety that they have and baked fresh daily, it is ALWAYS a family must when we come to the beach!!! We have NEVER been disappointed with service, product, or availability. LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

An old fashion bakery! The best they make everything. No frozen dough! Best breads, sailor jacks even. Homemade like it should be!

One stop shop here! Amazing homemade treats and they have more than 4 cases all full of mouth watering treats. Cottage Bakery also has homemade soup and one always on hand is homemade clam chowder so good! They also make sandwiches with YES homemade bread and if that's not enough to stop on by they also have their homemade breads for sale. ♡♡ this bakery! Promise something for everyone in your group.

Great food but the layout is busy and hard to get through.

Our family loves this place. We always stop in when we are in town. Its only gotten better with the ownership change. Good selection, and they finally accept cards now instead of just cash. We ordered an apple pie and its one of the best we've had. We always grab at least 3 loaves of their specialty breads.

We've been going here for more years than I can count. Deli and bakery are the best around! Love, love, love thefood and customer service!

Super cheerful, pleasant staff. Great pastry and coffee. Don't take credit/debit but have an atm on site with $1.75 fee that goes to the bakery. Didn't have the deli food but it looked delicious!

The best donuts you'll ever have! Amazing selection of freshly baked breads, pastries, cakes and pies! Between the bakery and the deli, they literally have something for everyone to love.

I was here with my family about two weeks ago and it was honestly the highlight of our trip, you know when you walk into a good long standing diner you can feel this energy about it or a certain kind of passion from the people working there that love doing what they're doing and that is seen in their doughnuts and there absolutely to die for sandwiches, I'm still salivating thinking about the turkey swiss sandwich we had there I got it twice a must try. thanks for the great experience definetly recommend for any body to at least get some great food or a massive doughnut for your sweet tooth!

Visited August 2020. Baked goods a little better than ok. Coffee is fine. The made to order bagel sandwiches are really good but what is horrible is that attitude of the older staff. No smiles. no thank yous. They are fortunate they have little or no competition.

Cute bakery in town with friendly staff. Lots of bakery items from donuts, cookies, pastries and pies as well as hot breakfast sandwiches and coffees. We tried the apple fritter and old fashioned glazed cake donut with Snicker doodle lattes. YUM!

This place is awesome. My wife and I were in town for the weekend and we stopped by here twice. There is a very large selection of pastries and they are absolutely delicious. The raspberry filled donut was my favorite. Stop by if you have not been here, you will not be disappointed.

Always have to stop in at the bakery whenever we come to Long Beach. Would of gave it five stars but went this morning and the lady behind the counter did not seem like she wanted to be there today. Not quite rude but close. Great place though.

First time in Long Beach. Saw the bakery and had to stop. Very nice having a delicatessen there. Sandwiches were a game changer! Would definitely go back! Next morning, had coffee and danishes. Tigers paw is phenomenal! They only thing is they forgot to put caramel in our mochas. Will still go back.

The food is great and wonderful. Great people there as well. We love it here every time we come.b

What can I say... Devil Dog, Maple Bar, Cinnamon Twist, Cream Cheese Croissant... The list goes on and on. Great Place, Great People.

They have more options than at any bakery that I've been to...breads, doughnuts, cookies, pies, cinnamon rolls. Everything we've had is delicious!

Best donuts around and good lunches too.

A must stop everytime I'm visiting Long Beach. Great selection of baked goods and cooked food. Can get busy at times and the more popular items can go quick.

I absolutely loved the doughnuts and fritters!! The house coffee, on the other hand, was not good. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I would definitely return for the baked goods!

OMG... This place had so many good choices! We ended up having a couple of cakes to eat in and a couple to go. We were in there late in the afternoon, and people that came in kept saying it looked as if the shelves were bare, but there was still plenty of choice for us. We did hear that the apple fritters sell early.

Cash or check only so come prepared to unload your wallet on exquisite fresh baked pastries. The staff is friendly and has top notch customer service.

Yummy, GLUTEN-FREE peanut butter/chocolate chip cookies and GLUTEN-FREE macaroons with or without dipped chocolate! If you can tolerate walnuts (which I can't) they have beautiful GLUTEN-FREE Haystack cookies, too. Of course, my husband had a giant apple turnover. The apple filling tasted a lot like mine, homemade.

This establishment has really good pastries and sandwiches. You won't find better a sandwich in the area. They are big and tasty. They also make their own bread allowing you to pick what bread you would like with your sandwich. I would highly recommend trying their sandwiches. Bring your appetite with you.

Donuts we're not that bad here.

The staff at this place is not implementing safe COVID practices. No masks no gloves, not six feet distance. Walked out.

Great bread, really good cakes, friendly staff, only complaint, wish they had a Point of sale system so that they didn't take my emergency folding cash.

Woman serving baked goods had her nose completely out of her mask and was breathing on all the stuff she was serving. Immediately turned around and left.

My nephew works there, so I love it.

Good food. Friendly staff. Only complaint would be that it was a bit smokey inside and it seemed like they been burning toast for about twenty minutes. Our pastries were good though. Recommended

No trip to Long Beach is complete without a stop at the Cottage Bakery. Or two or three stops. It's a busy place, but everyone who works there has been super cheerful and helpful. The food is good, they have espresso, but of course the real reason for going here is, it's a bakery and they have ALL the goodies, made on the premises. Forget about your diet. Enjoy!

Stopped in to check out the doughnut scene here as folks are always talking about it. I was not disappointed with the wide selection of baked goods from fresh breads and pastries tio cakes and cookies. I Also found that they offer soups, sandwiches and more. Now they are a CASH ONLY business with an ATM inside. Can get a little crowded with how popular they are, but they do offer sit in eating with cozy tables and views of the Long Beach main Strip. Staff is super friendly and helpful with selections and the coffee is great. Parking is limited tio street and what you can find nearby.

Always fresh bakery goods. Friendly staff and homey atmosphere.
